This was taken in Cayman Brac in 2021 along the Lighthouse Footpath, a trail that goes along the bluff. The sun was nearing the horizon and, as I stood overlooking the ocean, I found what I was looking for: along the cliff’s edge, in their nests, sat the booby birds. This one booby looked very comfortable and at peace next to her mate whose tail you can see to her left, probably tending to the nest. Her calm demeanor framed by ironshore, foliage and a deep blue sea, compelled me to capture the moment.
